Dr. Bryan Morse

Bryan S. Morse is a Professor of Computer Science at Brigham Young University, where he serves as Associate Dean of the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. Dr. Morse holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has more than 30 years of experience as a teacher and researcher. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers in various areas of computer vision, computer graphics, image and signal processing, and artificial intelligence, and he routinely serves as a reviewer for the major journals and conferences in these fields.

Dr. Morse is a Senior Member of the IEEE Computer Society and has served as chair of the Society's Technical Community for Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (PAMI), IEEE's largest professional organization for computer vision and machine learning researchers. He has also served on the Executive Committee for the Society’s Technical Activities and Conferences Activities Board. He has twice chaired the IEEE Winter Conference on Applications of Computer Vision and previously served on its steering committee. He has also chaired the IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, the premier conference in this area, and he continues to serve on its steering committee. He also serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, the leading journal in computer vision research. Dr. Morse is a Pioneering Member of the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics (SIGGRAPH). In 2019, Dr. Morse was recognized with the IEEE Computer Society’s T&C Leadership Award.
