Ellie Daw

Ellie Daw started her career as a software engineer on the cryptographic modules team at Cisco and has since worn many hats, including researcher, consultant, product manager, and founder. She has had the opportunity to work on and build teams around post-quantum cryptography, quantum security applications, data security, operational security foundations, anomaly detection models and ensembles, data platforms, and even web applications built from the ground up. Each of these roles has required a strong understanding of technical foundations and the ability to apply them in context, and has resulted in Ellie being a named inventor on several patents.

Ellie has built a deep understanding of what it takes to develop and leverage successful technologies and enjoys acting as the bridge between tech team complexities and real world use cases. She has taught courses, written papers and blogs, and provided feedback on tech policy. She believes that tight integration between technical depth, context, and a strong grasp of business goals makes a company unstoppable.

She has worked across various verticals and especially loves bringing her software product experience to complex projects in areas like OT, aviation, and energy. Currently, Ellie runs a tech advisory firm, Unstuck, which helps clients identify tech-related risks and opportunities, and works on special projects related to her areas of expertise.
