Jonathan L. Krein

Dr. Krein is a subject matter expert in software engineering, data analytics, machine learning & AI, e-commerce, wireless communications, networking, embedded systems, web technologies, and user interfaces. Dr. Krein served as President and CEO, and then CTO and Chief Software Architect for Kinpoint, Inc., Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Brigham Young University, a researcher at IBM's T. J. Watson research center, and a professional software engineer for the Office of IT BYU. He currently serves as the Immediate Past Chair for Kids On The Move and consults in the software industry. Dr. Krein has extensive experience in source code review and systems analysis and has performed hundreds of code reviews throughout his career.

Dr. Krein has served as a testifying and consulting expert on more than 60 matters to date, and is experienced at giving testimony by report, deposition, and at trial. His litigation experience includes trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, patent infringement, breach of contract, negligence, and others. He has provided testimony for cases in district courts, state courts, arbitration (JAMS and AAA), before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and in foreign jurisdictions, among others.
